About
Serge Giachetti graduated from Grinnell College in 2006 with a degree in philosophy and a passion in photography. He presented a portfolio of landscapes to the local weekly, and they said "OK," but warned him that "people move a lot faster than landscapes." He soon learned that this was true, and he loved that it was. He's since interned at three newspapers, bowled with clowns, shot from the nose of a WWII bomber and been mistaken for a jungle gym by an orphanage full of Sierra Leonean children. After finishing an internship at The Evansville Courier and Press in Indiana, he began a long term documentary project on Blackfeet Indian youth in northern Montana. When he's not taking pictures, he's generally thinking about taking pictures, or maybe taking a walk in the woods. He's currently assisting Steve Winter on a Tiger story for National Geographic.
